VT Interface #1-28

The VT Interface menu allows the user to map a Port (T1/E1) to a VT, activate/deactivate the T1 and E1 mapped to the VT, and to set the line coding, length, loopback detection, circuit protection, line ID string, and disable/enable the hairpin loopback. Configuration selections are described in the section following Figure 3-5.

VT/Port Mapping

Map a T1/E1 port to a VT. Any available port (1-28) can be mapped to a VT. An error will be returned if the port is already mapped to another VT. Selecting UNEQUIPPED will free the port from mapping and disable the VT.

T1 State

Set unused T1 lines to DISABLED. Set used T1 lines to ENABLED.

T1 Coding

Set the line code for each individual T1 interface to match the connected device. The choices available for T1 are AMI and B8ZS.
