Manual IP Configuration (for all Windows OS)
The instructions here may not exactly match your version of Windows as these steps and screenshots were created in Windows 98. The setup steps of Manual IP Configuration in Windows 95, Windows Me, Windows NT, and Windows 2000, are similar, but not identical, to Windows 98.
1.Check Specify an IP address on the IP Address tab. Enter an IP address based on the default network 192.168.2.x (where x is between 2 and 254), and use 255.255.255.0 for the Subnet mask (Figure 21).
