PN

This column lists the port numbers for all the KVM ports on the installation.

 

The simplest method to access a particular computer is to move the

 

highlight bar to it and press [Enter].

 

 

TYPE

The model number of the KVM adapter cable used to connect the

 

computer to the KVM port.

 

 

NOTE

If a KVM port has been given a name (see SET PC NOTE, p. 116), its

 

name appears in this column.

 

 

OSD Navigation

Use the following procedures to navigate through OSD menus:

ŠTo dismiss the main screen, and deactivate the OSD, click the X at the upper right corner of the OSD window; or press [Esc].

ŠTo logout, click F8 at the top of the main screen, or press [F8].

ŠTo move up or down through the list one line at a time, click the up and down triangle symbols (ST) or use the Up and Down Arrow keys. If there are more list entries than there is room for on the main screen, the screen will scroll.

ŠTo move up or down through the list one screen at a time, click the up and down arrow symbols (ÏÐ), or use the [Page Up] and [Page Down] keys. If there are more list entries than there is room for on the main screen, the screen will scroll.

ŠAfter executing any action, you automatically go back to the menu one level above.

Accessing Computers

To access a computer, double-click it; or, move the highlight bar to it, and then press [Enter].

If more than one user tries to access a KVM port at the same time, the first user in controls the KVM port, while the other users can only view it. If the controlling user exits the KVM port, the second user in gains control.
