Logging In

The KM0832 Administrator Utility provides secure, password-protected access to the KM0832. A default super administrator account is provided to login and configure the initial settings:

Username: ADMIN

Password: ADMIN

We recommend that you change the password for the default super administrator account. Failure to do so may put your matrix KVM switch installation at risk of unauthorized access. See Configuring OSD User Settings, page 79, to change the password. After other user accounts have been added to the KM0832, it is no longer necessary to use the default super administrator account to login. However, this account cannot be deleted and it does not appear in the list of usernames.

To login to the KM0832 Administrator Utility:

1.Enter the IP address of the KM0832 in the address bar of a Web browser and press Enter.

Note: If you do not know the IP address of the KM0832, ask your network administrator.

2.When the Security Alert dialog box appears, accept the certificate—it can be trusted. (See Trusted Certificates, page 142, for details.) The KM0832 Login Webpage appears.

3. Enter your username and password, and then click Login.
