4.4 Telset Programming Summary

Voice Storage and Configuration with the Telset

4-5

8UU - Received Signal Strength

Cv2: “Code Eight is One, One, Two, One, ...”

The Cv2 speaks a number from One to Thirteen. Each increment corresponds to approximately 5 dBm, with 0 representing roughly -121 dBm and 13 representing -56 dBm. The LEDs show a binary representation of the spoken value, where the ALARM LED is the most significant bit and the HOOK LED is the least significant. This is the only time during programming when all LEDs will not be lit.

The message repeats continuously, as the Cv2 reads and then announces the current value of signal strength measured by the cell phone, until another DTMF code is detected or the program phone goes on-hook. At the completion of programming, hang up the handset and disconnect the cable to allow the Cv2 to return to normal operation.

9UU - Outside Line

Cv2: “beep”

This function is available only with the local telset - not when programming remotely though the cell phone. In order to use the cell phone to make a call, enter the programming mode, then press 9UU. The unit responds with a ‘beep’ and then expects the outgoing telephone number to be entered. A two second pause after a digit is equivalent to pressing the “Send’ button.

4.4 Telset Programming Summary

The telset programming process is shown in this section in chart form.

If the Edit Directories command is selected, the following codes are used to represent the commands found in the PC programming:

￿￿ [DIAL]

￿￿ [VOICE]

￿￿ [WAIT]

￿￿ [SIGNAL]

￿￿ [AUTO ACK]

￿￿ ‘!’ 2 second pause in Dial or DTMF

￿￿ [DTMF]

￿￿ ‘#’ digit

￿￿ [ALERT]

￿￿ Accept

￿￿ [ANSWER]
