Chapter 7: Command-Line Management

The switch_a(config)# prompt will show on the screen. switch_a(config)#

2. Usage:

Use this command to to set time zone.

3.Command Syntax: clock timezone TIMEZONE

TIMEZONE Specifies the time zone. (Please refer the Appendix B)

4.Example:

The following example sets time zone (Canada/Yukon): switch_a(config)#clock timezone YST9YDT switch_a(config)#

Polling Interval:

1. Command Mode: Configure mode

Logon to Configure Mode (Configure Terminal Mode). The switch_a(config)# prompt will show on the screen. switch_a(config)#

2. Usage:

Use this command to specify the polling interval.

3. Command Syntax:

ntp polling-interval MINUTE

MINUTE <1-10080> The polling interval. Enter a value in the range 1 to 10080 minutes.

4. Example:

The following example specifies the polling interval 60 minutes: switch_a(config)#ntp polling interval 60 switch_a(config)#

Daylight Saving Mode:

1. Command Mode: Configure mode

Logon to Configure Mode (Configure Terminal Mode). The switch_a(config)# prompt will show on the screen. switch_a(config)#

2. Usage:

Use this command to enable daylight saving.

Use no clock summer-time command to disable daylight saving.
