Button sewing

Buttons can be sewn on with the sewing machine. Buttons with two or with four holes can be attached.

aMeasure the distance between the holes in the button to be attached.

bRaise the presser foot lever, and then slide the drop feed lever, located at the rear of the

machine on the base, to aMeasure the distance between the holes in the button to be attached. (to the left as seen from the rear of the machine).

XThe feed dogs are lowered.

Since the end of the thread will be tied off later, do not set the sewing machine for programmed-thread cutting.

eAdjust the stitch width so that it is the same as the distance between the holes in the button.

fPlace the button in the position where it will be sewn, and lower the presser foot lever.

XThe button is held in place.

When attaching four-hole buttons, first sew the two holes closest to you. Then, slide the button so that the needle goes into the two holes toward the rear of the sewing machine, and then sew them in the same way.
