Lower Threading

CAUTION

Setting the bobbin improperly may cause the thread ten- sion to loosen, breaking the needle and resulting in injury.

CAUTION

Be sure to turn off the power. If you accidentally press the Start/Stop button or step on the foot controller and the machine begins to operate, injury could result.

1.Raise the needle to its highest position by turning the balance wheel toward you (counterclockwise) and raise the presser foot lever.

2.Slide the button and open the cover.

3.Insert bobbin and deliver thread end through the slit, then pull the thread to cut.

CAUTION

Be sure the bobbin is set so the thread unrolls in the correct direction. If the thread unrolls in the wrong direction, it may cause the thread tension to be incorrect or the needle to break.

4.Replace the bobbin cover. Place the left tab in place (see arrow 1 at left), then press lightly on the right side (see arrow 2 at left)

until the cover clicks into place.

*You can begin sewing immediately without drawing up the bobbin thread.
