Sie besitzen eine 300 WSM und schießen mit folgender Ladung der Marke Winchester: 180 gr. Ballistic Silver Tip- Geschoss mit einer Mündungsgeschwindigkeit von 3010 fps. Diese Kombination fällt unter die Ballistikgruppe “F”. Stellen Sie den Entfernungsmesser auf Ballistikgruppe “F” ein, gehen Sie in den Schussbereich und stellen Sie Ihr Gewehrvisier auf 100 Yard ein. Wenn Sie auf ein Ziel in 317 Yard Entfernung zielen, beträgt der Geschossabfall 9 Zoll. Wird der Schuss mit einem Aufwärtswinkel von 27 Grad getätigt, liegt der korrekte Geschossabfall bei 8 Zoll.

Was, wenn Ihr Kaliber nicht aufgeführt ist?

Zwar haben wir uns bemüht, so viele Kaliber und Marken wie möglich in unsere Ballistiktabelle aufzunehmen, doch es wird auch ständig neue Munition entwickelt. Außerdem verwenden einige Schusswaffenbenutzer eigene Munition mit besonderen ballistischen Eigenschaften. Auch wenn Sie Ihre Ladung nicht in unserer Ballistiktabelle finden können, können Sie die Geschossabfallfunktion des Laser-Entfernungsmessers nutzen. Stellen Sie Ihr Gewehr wie oben auf 100 Yard ein. Feuern Sie dann das Gewehr ohne Anpassen des Gewehrvisiers auf 300 Yard ab. Messen Sie den Geschossabfall ab dem Zielpunkt. Wählen Sie anhand dieses Abfalls die Ballistikgruppe aus der unten stehenden Liste aus. Wenn Sie über größere Entfernungen schießen wollen, prüfen Sie stattdessen den Geschossabfall bei 500 Yard. Da eine enorme Vielzahl verschiedener Gewehrläufe, Kammern und Handladungen existiert, sollten Sie die ballistische Einstellung gründlich prüfen, bevor Sie sich zur Jagd aufmachen. Abhängig von Ihren Tests müssen Sie möglicherweise eine höhere oder tiefere Gruppe auswählen.
