You can protect important images so that they cannot be erased by the
camera (pp.29, 112).

Select :.

●Press the m button to select :, then
press the m button.
Make the setting.
●Press the qr buttons or turn the  dial,
select [Protect], and press the m button.
Once set, will appear on the screen.
: Protecting Images
If you format the memory card (pp.22, 52), protected images will also be
erased.
•Protected images cannot be erased with the camera’s erase function. To
erase an image, cancel protection first.
•You can also protect images using the following method. Press the
n button, select the 1 tab, select [Protect]. Press the m button to
select [Select] and press the m button, then press the qr buttons to
select an image and press the m button.
