: Protecting Images
You can protect important images so that they cannot be erased by the camera (pp. 29, 112).
Select :.
●Press the m button to select :, then press the m button.
Make the setting.
●Press the qr buttons or turn the  dial, select [Protect], and press the m button. Once set, 
will appear on the screen.
If you format the memory card (pp. 22, 52), protected images will also be erased.
• Protected images cannot be erased with the camera’s erase function. To erase an image, cancel protection first.
•You can also protect images using the following method. Press the n button, select the 1 tab, select [Protect]. Press the m button to select [Select] and press the m button, then press the qr buttons to select an image and press the m button.
