USER SETTINGS Menu

The selectable settings and the default settings vary depending on the country where you have

purchased the FAX. The values shown here are average values.

Setting Description SubSettings

DATE & TIME Sets the current date and time ( p.36). –

UNIT TELEPHONE # En ters the fax/telephone number you want to appear at the

top of each fax page you send ( p.36).

UNIT NAME Enters the name or company name you want to appear at

the top of each fax page you send ( p.36).

TX TERMINAL ID Enables/disables printing of the sender information

( p.35).

TTI POSITION Selects whether the sender information is positioned

inside or outside the image area ( p.35).

TELEPHONE # MARK Selects the prefix for the unit number ( p. 35). FAX

OFFHOOK ALARM Enables/disables the off hook alarm that alerts you that

the handset is not seated properly in its cradle.

VOLUME CONTROL Sets the volume of the FAX sounds. –

CALLING VOLUME Selects the ring volume when the FAX detects a voice

call.

KEYPAD VOLUME Selects the keypad touch beep volume. 0 (off)/1/2/3

ALARM VOLUME Selects the error alarm volume. 0 (off)/1/2/3

LINE MONITOR VOL Selects the line monitor volume (sound during dialling). 0 (off)/1/2/3

RX CALL LEVEL Selects the ring type for incoming calls. HIGH

Print quality is poor. Faxes do not print. Received faxes print blotched or unevenly. Cannot receive using Error Correction Mode (ECM). Copying Problems Cannot make copies. MEMORY FULL appears in the LCD when making multiple copies. Telephone Problems Cannot dial. Optional handset or telephone disconnects while you are talking. Printing Problems Alarm light is lit and the FAX beeps while printing. Printout does not match paper size. Printout is skewed. Paper jams occur. Printout is not clear. Printout has vertical white streaks. General Problems FAX has no power. Nothing appears in the LCD.
