Receiving Faxes

If

FAX ONLY MODE

does not appear in the LCD when you press Receive Mode,

follow this procedure to set this mode:

The FAX treats all incoming calls as fax calls. It receives faxes automatically and

disconnects any voice calls.

1Press Function.

2Press Data Registration.

3Press OK.

4Use or to select

RX SETTINGS

.

5Press OK.

6Use or to select

RX MODE

.

7Press OK.

8Use or to select

FAX ONLY MODE

.

9Press OK.

10 Press Stop to return to standby mode.

11 Confirm that FaxOnly is displayed in the

LCD.

• If FaxOnly is not displayed, follow

steps 1 to 2 on page 82 to select

FAX

ONLY MODE

. After a few seconds, the

LCD returns to standby mode.

The FAX does not ring when it receives a fax call. If you want to be alerted when a

fax call is received, connect the optional handset or a telephone to the FAX, and

enable the

INCOMING RING

setting ( p. 147). You can also select the number of

rings before the FAX answers (

RING COUNT

, p.147).
