WWhhaatt IIss aa PPrriinntteerr DDrriivveerr??Mostcomputers require special software to link the software applications you
use to create documentsor images with your printer. This software, called a
printerdriver, converts information from the application into a format that the
printer can understand. The Canon S300 printer driver also providesother
features, such asmonitoring the printer’s paper supply and ink levels.
SSeelleeccttiinngg tthhee SS330000 PPrriinntteerr ffoorr UUssee If the S300 isthe only printer connected to your computer, it will automatically
be set asthe default (main) printer. However, if your computer has accessto
multiple printers, you can setthe S300 as the default printer.

1. ClickSSttaarrtt, then SSeettttiinnggss, then PPrriinntteerrss.
2. Right-clickthe Canon S300 printer icon, then click SSeett aass DDeeffaauulltt. The Canon
S300 printer icon willdisplay a check mark indicating that itis the default
printer.

Even ifanother printer is set as the default printer, you can still select the Canon
S300 for a specificprint job from within most Windows applications.

documentation ifthe Print option is not listed.
1. From the FFiilleemenu, click PPrriinntt.
2. SelectCCaannoonn SS330000from the Name drop-down list, then clickOOKK.

1. ClickAAppppllee, then CChhoooosseerr.
2. Clickthe SS330000printer icon. The S300 willremain the default printer until
another is selected.
