Troubleshooting
Lens will not retract.
Memory card slot cover/
battery cover was opened
with power on.
zAfter closing the memory card slot/
battery cover, turn the power on
then back off (Basic Guid e p. 5).
The mode was switched
from shooting to playback
mode.
zThe lens will not retract in th is
case. To retract the lens, turn t he
mode lever to the left again.
Shooting Movies
The recording time may not display properly or
shooting may stop unexpectedly.
The following types of
memory cards are used .
-Slow recording cards.
-Cards for matted on a
different camera or a
computer.
-Cards which have had
images recorded and
erased repeatedly.
zAlthough the recording time may
not display properly du ring
shooting, the movie will be
recorded correctly on the memory
card. Recording time will disp lay
properly if you format the memory
card in this camera (excluding slow
recording memory cards) (p. 37).
“Buffer Warning” (p.18) displays frequently on
the LCD monitor.
When the camera’s
internal memory is low.
(The “Buffer Warning”
displays until it is full, an d
shooting will automatically
stop.)
zTry the following procedures.
-Format the card with a low level
format before filming (p. 37).
-Lower the recording pixels/frame
rate (p.38).
-Use a high-speed memory card
(SDC-512MSH, etc.).
