Selecting an AF Frame

Shooting Mode

*Cannot be set in mode.

The AF frame indicates the area of the composition on which the camera focuses.

You can set the AF frame in the following ways.

						You can have the camera automatically
						detect the position of a face and use this
						data to set the focus and exposure* while
					Face	shooting. In addition, the camera will
					Face	meter the subject so that the face is
					Detect	correctly illuminated when the flash fires*.

						If a face is not detected, images will be
						shot using the [Center] option.
						* Exposure and flash are set only in evaluative
