Error Indicators

z“POWER” in the following table stands for the “POWER/STANDBY” indicator.

z“” in the “Alert” column indicates that the projector will emit four long beeps when an error occurs. “U” in the “Alert” column indicates that the projector will emit two short

beeps when an error occurs. Note that alert tones sound only when “On” is specified for “Option Settings J Alert Tones”.

zWhen an error occurs, wait until cool down is complete and the fan stops before unplugging the AC power cord. If you unplug the AC power cord while the fan is still operate, and error may occur when you plug the AC power cord back in.

	Indicator	Alert	Description
POWER	: Amber flashing J		An operational problem was caused by external
	Red steady		noise or some other factor. After confirming that the
TEMP	: Red steady		POWER/STANDBY indicator is lit red (steady) and
			that the fan has stopped, unplug the AC power
			cord. After the indicator goes out, plug the AC
			power cord back in and turn on the projector again.
			If the error occurs again when you turn power back
			on, contact your retailer or nearest authorized
			CASIO Service Center.
POWER	: Amber flashing J		There is some problem with the fan.
	Red steady		After confirming that the POWER/STANDBY indicator
TEMP	: Red flashing		is lit red (steady) and that the fan has stopped,
			unplug the AC power cord. After the indicator goes
	(0.5-second interval)
			out, plug the AC power cord back in and turn on
			the projector again. If the error occurs again when
			you turn power back on, contact your retailer or
			nearest authorized CASIO Service Center.
POWER	: Amber flashing J		Power has turned off automatically due to internal
	Red steady		overheating. Perform the following steps.
TEMP	: Red flashing		1 After confirming that the POWER/STANDBY
			indicator is lit red, unplug the AC power cord
	(1-second interval)
			and wait for about 60 minutes to allow the
			projector to cool down.
			2 Check for any blocking of the projector’s intake
			vents and exhaust vents, and make sure that
			there is sufficient space around the projector.

3Plug the AC power cord back in, and turn on the projector again.

POWER	: Amber flashing J	Power has turned off automatically due to a lamp
	Red steady	problem.
TEMP	: Red flashing	After confirming that the POWER/STANDBY indicator
		is lit red, unplug the AC power cord, then plug it
	(0.5-second interval)
		back in and turn on the projector again. If this does
LAMP	: Red flashing	not correct the problem, wait for the projector to
	(0.5-second interval)	cool down and then check the lamp cartridge for
		damage. If there is nothing wrong with the lamp
		cartridge, take it to your retailer or nearest
		authorized CASIO Service Center.
