Chapter 9 Obtaining and Installing Licenses
Licensing Model
Note Each module requires its own separate license. If you replace a module that requires a license
with a module of the same type (such as replacing a Storage Services Module (SSM) with
another SSM), the existing license will support the new module.
Note Any feature that is not included in a license package is bundled with the Cisco MDS 9000 Family
switches and provided at no charge to the user.
