Add or Change a Password

Use a password to protect your data. A password is up to 4 numbers and a custom command word. Password protection is enabled after the ignition is cycled off then on. Auto PC prompts you for a password the first time you enter protected programs (e.g. Address Book).

To add a password	Manual !	Comments
	Press Start, then to	To highlight and access Setup program.

	to select Password	To select Password parameter.

	Press	To enter the Password edit screen.
	Use the Keys to enter	Use the number keys on right side of DCP.
	up to 4 numbers, then	The numbers will become your password.
	Re-enter 4-digit	Re-enter your password to confirm.

	Press , then record	To record a voice password Display reads:
	<custom command	“Custom Command successfully recorded”
	word> three times	(for 5 seconds) and “Password confirmed.
		Your password takes effect after restarting
		your vehicle” (for 5 seconds).
