Explanation of timeouts

Timeout	How long Auto PC	Reason why Auto PC waits
Name	waits (your choice)
Hold keys for:	.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5	To activate the press-and-hold
		function on key presses.
Listen for:	2, 5, 10, 15, 20,	For speech commands (after
	or Always	the last recognized speech
	See NOTE below	command) before going back
		to “sleep.”
Program	5, 10, 20, 30,	For input in a program’s
menus:	or Always	options menu before returning
		to the previous screen.
Start menu:	5, 10, 20, 30,	For input in the Start menu
	or Always	before it returns to the
		previous screen

NOTE: When you say “Auto PC” or use PTT, Auto PC “listens” for speech commands and a green bar appears across the bottom of the display. The green bar gradually disappears as the listening timeout expires. A blue bar appears across the bottom of the display only when Auto PC is “talking.”Neither the green bar nor the blue bar is displayed if the listening timeout is set to Always.
