Removal and Replacement Procedures

4.Remove the heat sink and fan (Section 5.10).

5.Use a flat-bladed tool to turn the processor locking screw one-quarter turn counterclockwise 1.

6.Lift the processor straight up 2 and remove it.

✎Note that the gold triangle 3 should be in the lower right corner when installing the processor.

Removing the Processor

Reverse the above procedure to install the processor.
