1Sleep indicates the computer is in the sleep mode.

2Num Lock indicates that you can use the numeric key pad to type numbers.

3Caps lock indicates all text typed will appear as capitalised letters.

4Scroll lock indicates when the scroll-lock function is engaged, allowing you to scroll through a document without moving the cursor.
