Placethe workpiecefiat on the miter table with
one edgesecurely against the fence.If the board
iswarped, place the convex side against the
fence. If theconcave edge of a boardis placed
againstthe fence, the board could collapse on the
bladeat the end ofthe cut, jammingthe blade.

supportthe oppositeend of the stockwith a roller
standor with a work surface level withthe sew
table.

Graspthe stock firmlywith one hand and secure
itagainst the fence. Use the optionalworkclamp
oraC-clamp tosecure the workpiece when

Beforeturningon the saw, performa dryrun of the
cuttingoperationjustto makesure that no
problemswilloccurwhen the cut is made.
Graspthe saw handlefirmly, pressthe lock-offtab
down,then squeeze the switch trigger.Allow
severalseconds for the blade toreach maximum
speed.
TO BEVEL CUT WITH YOUR MITERSAW:
Pulloutthe lockpin and lift sew arm to its full
height.
Loosenthe miterlock handle. Rotate the miter
lockhandle approximatelyone-halffum to the left
to loosen.
Pressthe miterlock plate down withyour thumb
andhold.
Rotatethe control arm untilthe pointer alignswith
zeroon themiter scale.
Releasethe miter lockplate.
Note: Youcan quickly locatezero by releasing
thelock plate as you rotate the controlarm. The
lockplate willseat itself in one of the built-in
positivestopnotches, locatedin the mitertable
frame.
Tightenthe miter lock handle securely.
