Forconveniencewhen carryingortransportingyour
mitersaw from one place to another, acarrying
handlehas been provided on top of the saw arm as
showninfigure 4. To transport,turn off and unplug
yoursaw, then lower the saw arm and lock it inthe
downposition.Locksaw arm by depressingthe lock
pin.

reducethe possibilityofaccidental starting.The lock-
offlever must be pressed down withthe palmof your
handto tum saw on. Once the saw ison, the lock-off
levercan be released,The spdngloaded lever will
spdngback intothe lock-offpositionwhen theswitch
tdggeris released.

A spindlelock button has been providedfor locking
thespindle which stopsthe rotationof the blade in
yoursaw. Depress and hold the lock buttonwhile
installing,changing,or removingblade.

To prevent unauthodzedusa of yourcompound miter
saw,we suggestthat you disconnectit from the power
supplyand lock the switchin the offposition.To lock
theswitch, installa padlockthroughthe hole inthe
switchtdggar. A lock with a shackle up to 13/64 in.
diametermay be used. When the lockis installedand
locked,the switch isinoperable. Storethe padlock key
inanother location.
