studon the end of the miter lockhandle intothe
threaded holein the control arm. Turn clockwiseto

Toinstall the dust guide, place the end marked
INSERT over the exhaust port in the upperblade
guard.Turn the guideso that the open end isfacing
downor toward the rearof the saw.

AWARNING: A 10 in. bladeis the maximum
bladecapacity of your saw.Never use a blade
that istoo thick to allow outerblade washerto
engagewith the flats on the spindle. Larger
bladeswill come in contact withthe blade
guards,while thickerblades willprevent the
bladescrew from secudngthe blade on the
spindle.Either of these situationscouldresult in
asadous accident and can cause serious
personalinjury.
Unplugyour saw.
A WARNING: Failureto unplugyour saw could
resultin accidentalstartingcausing possible
sedouspersonal injury.
Pushdown on the saw arm and pull outthe lock
pinto releasesaw arm. Raisesaw arm to its full
raisedposition. Becautious, saw arm is spdng
loadedto raise.
Loosenthe phillipsscrewon the blade bolt
coveruntil blade boltcover can beraised.

Gently raisethe lower blade guardbracket,
releasinglower bladeguard from notchsothat
lowerblade guard and blade bolt cover can be
rotatedup and back to expose the blade boll See
Figures10 and 11.
