Positivestopshave been providedst 0°, 22-1/2 °and
45o.The 22-1/2° and 45 ° positivestopshave been
providedonboth theleftand rightside of the miter
table.
BEVEL LOCK KNOB
The bevel lookknob securelylocks your compound
mitersew at desired bevel angles. Positive stop
adjustmentscrewshave beenprovided on each side
ofthe sew arm. These adjustmentscrews are for
making fineadjustments at 0° and 45°. See pages18
and 19.
ELECTRIC BRAKE
Anaiectdc brake hasbeen provided to quicklystop
bladerotation afterthe switch is released.
FENCE
The fence on yourcompound miter sew has been
providedtohold your workplecasecurely against
whenmaking all cuts.
SELF-RETRACTING LOWER BLADE
GUARD
The lowerblade guard is made of shock-resistant,
see-throughplasticthat providesprotectionfrom each
sideofthe blade. It retractsover the upperblade
guardas the saw is lowered intothe workplace.
MOUNTING HOLES
See Figure 7.
Yourcompound mitersaw should be permanently
mounted to a firm supportingsurfacesuch as work-
bench.Four 7/16 in. boltholes have been providedin
the sawbase for this purpose. Each of the four
mounting holesshouldbe bolted securelyusing7/16
in.machine bolts,look washers,and hex nuts (not
Included),Boltssh,ouldbe of sufficientlengthto
accommodate the'sawbase, lookwashers, hex nuts,
and thethicknessof the workbench.
Tightenallfour bolts securely.
The holepatternfor an 18 in.x 24 in. workbenchis
shownin Figure7. Carefully check the workbench
aftermounting to make surethat no movement can
occurduringuse. If any tipping, sliding,or walkingis
noted,secure the workbenchto theflour before
operating.

Yoursaw has a precisionbuilt aiectdc motor.It should
beconnected to a power supply that Is 120 volts,
60 Hz, AC only (normal household current). Do not
operatethis tool on directcurrent(DC). A substantial
voltagedropwill cause a lossof powerand the motor
willoverheat. If yourtool does not operate when
pluggedinto an outlet,double-checkthe power
supply.
