Depressthe spindle lockbuttonand rotate the
bladebolt untilthe spindle locks. See Figure 12.
Usingthe blade wrenchprovided, loosen
removethe bladebolt.
Note: The bladebolt has left hand threads. Turn
bladeboll clockwiseto loosen.
Removeouter blade washer. Do not remove
innerblade washer.

Wipe adropof oil onto inner bladewasher and
outerblade washer where they contactthe blade.
_1_ WARNING: Ifinner blade washer has been
removed,replace it before placingblade on
spindle.Failureto do so couldcause an accident
sinceblade will nottighten properly.
Fitsaw blade insidelower blade guardand onto
spindle.The blade teeth point downwardat the
frontof sew as shownin figure 11.
_lh CAUTION: Always installthe blade with the
bladeteeth and the arrowpdnted on the sideof
the bladepointing downat the front of the saw.
The directionofblade rotation is also stamped
withan arrow on the upper bladeguard.
Replaceouter blade washer. The double "D"fiats
onthe blade washers align withthe flats on the
spindle.
Depressspindlelock buttonand replace blade
bolt.
Note: The bladeboil has left handthreads. Turn
bladeboil counterclockwisetotighten.
Tightenblade bolt securely.
Removethe blade wrench and store itin a safe
placefor futureuse.
Replacethe lower blade guardand blade boil
cover.
Rstightenphillipsscrewsecudng blade boil cover.
Tightenscrewsecurely. See Figure 11.
AWARNING: To prevent damage to the spindle
lock,always allowmotorto come to a complete
stopbefore engagingspindle lock.Make sure the
spindlelockbutton isnot engaged before
reconnectingsawinto power source.
Your compoundmiter saw has been adjusted at the
factory for making very accurate cuts. However, some
ofthe components might have been jarred out of
alignment during shipping. Also, over a period of time,
readjustment will probably become necessary due to
wear. After unpacking your sew, check the following
adjustments before you begin using saw. Make any
readjustments that are necessary and periodically
check the parts alignment to make sure that your saw
iscutting accurately.
