9.4.1 Accessing the Embedded Web Pages

While connected on the CDMA network it is possible to access the modem’s embedded web pages either from a PC connected directly to the modem or remotely over the CDMA network. This enables changing of configuration parameters and to viewing of the modem’s settings and status.

From an attached PC use your standard Web browser application and go to IP address http://192.0.2.4 and enter the web page password (factory default password is Chameleon).

From a remote location surf to the modem’s IP address - you will need to know this and have configured the modem to allow remote access to its web pages. Again, enter the web page password and you will have access to the configuration pages.

Caution – some configuration changes will cause this connection to close and require use of the AT commands to return to this mode.

The modem’s current status may be viewed using the Status page.

The modems ESN, configured telephone number and currently allocated IP address can be viewed (the IP address will be 192.0.2.3 if the modem is not connected to the CDMA network).

The CDMA network status including current signal strength as seen by the modem is given in dBm.

For the CTM-132 with GPS the current GPS data will be displayed if a valid position fix is available.
