9.8 Remote Sensor Monitoring

The CTM-130/132 modem has the ability to directly monitor and report readings from sensors connected to the modem’s input port. This provides a cost effective solution for temporary or remote location sites, and are often used as a backup to an existing monitoring system.

9.9 Using the Chameleon Viewer Windows® Software

The CTM-130/132 modem makes available to the host device a fixed format status report which may be viewed by the Chameleon Viewer Windows® application. The report is available anytime that the host computer has established a PPP session to the modem using a Dial-Up connection. For the CTM-132 modem equipped with a GPS receiver the current positional information is also available on the GPS tab.
