Checking the status of supplies from the printer control panel

1Make sure the print er is on and Ready appears.
2From the printer control panel, press the up or down arrow button until Status/Suppl ies appears, and
then press .
3Press the up or down arrow button un til View supplies appears, and then press .
The status of each supply appears.

Checking the status of supplies from a network computer

Note: The computer must be connected to the same network as the printer.
1Type the printer IP address into the address field of your Web browser.
Note: If you do no t know the IP ad dress of the prin ter, print a net work setup page and locate the IP address in
the TCP/IP sectio n.
2Click Device Status. The D evice Status page appears, displaying a sum mary of supply levels.

Printer attached to a network

1Type your printer IP address in your Web browser to launch the Dell Configuration Web Tool.
2Click www.dell.com/supplies.

Printer attached locally to a co mputer

1Click or Start.
2Click All Programs or Programs, and then select the printer program folder from the list.
3Select Printer Home.
4Choose your printer from the printer drop-down list .
5Click Dell Printer Supplies Reorder Application.
The Order Toner Cartridges window opens.
6Choose your printer model from the list.
