4.Depending on the type of card guide your system uses for the inner end of the expansion card, use one of the following methods to release the guide latch:

For card guides with a thumb tab, rotate the tab outward (away from the expansion card) to release the latch.

For card guides with a squeeze latch, squeeze and rotate the top of the card guide to release the latch.

5.Grasp the expansion card by the corners, and carefully remove it from the expansion-card connector.

6.If you are removing the card permanently, install a metal filler bracket over the empty card-slot opening.
