NVRAM.
Set the configuration jumper to
Maintenance mode (refer to
Table2-2), and reboot the system
to return all settings to their
defaults. If the problem persists,
refer to Chapter 8, “Getting Help,”
for instructions on obtaining tech-
nical assistance

Invalid
system con-
figuration
data
The system configura-
tion information in the
system setup program is
incorrect, or the battery
charge may be low.
Enter the system setup program,
and verify the system configura-
tion information; then reboot the
computer. If the problem per-
sists, refer to “Replacing the
System Batt ery” in Chapter 2. If
neither action provides a solution,
refer to Chapter 8, “Getting
Help,” for instructions on obtain-
ing technical assistance.
Keyboard con-
troller error The keyboard controller
failed its test. If you receive this message after
making changes in the system
setup program, enter the pro-
gram and restore the original
value(s).
If the problem persists, you may
have to replace the keyboard or
system board. Refer to Chapter8,
“Getting Help,” for instructions
on obtaining technical assistance.
