Maintaining the Axim

To conduct periodic maintenance of your device, use the Dell Axim Self Diagnostic Utility available on the Getting Started CD. This diagnostic utility tests many features of your device: buttons, operating system version, battery status, video play, LED, driver, mirror mode, Bluetooth, Wireless, and

USB Link Test.

Installing the Diagnostic Utility

To install the utility:

1Create an ActiveSync connection between the device and a computer.

2Insert the Getting Started CD into the computer’s CD-ROM drive.

3Click Getting Started →Enhance Your Experience →Tools.

4On the tools selection menu, select Pocket PC Applications.

5Scroll down the list until you see Dell Axim X50/X50v Self-Diagnostic Utility.

6Click Details→Install.

7Follow the instructions on the screen to install the Self-Diagnostic Utility. To run a diagnostic, tap Start→Programs→Axim Self-Diagnostics.
