If the mode is set to anything other than AUTO DECODE, the AUTO DECODE mode can be set using the AUTO DECODE/2CH MODE button on the main unit.

The mode can be changed to the Dolby Pro Logic II mode during playback by changing the 2-channel mode (surround parameter) or by pressing the AUTO DECODE/2CH MODE button.
