Award BIOS Setup Utility

Method 1:

Clear the CMOS data by setting JP10 to 2-3 On. All fields in the BIOS Setup will automatically be set to their default settings.

Method 2:

Press the <Insert> key and power button simultaneously, then release the power button first. Keep-on pressing the <Insert> key until the power-on screen appears.This will allow the system to boot according to the FSB of the processor. Now press the <Del> key to enter the Award BIOS setup utility. Select “CPU Frequency Control” and set the “CPU Clock Ratio” or “CPU Host/PCI Clock” field to its default setting or an appropriate frequency ratio or bus clock.

Note:

• Use a PS/2 or AT (requires a DIN to mini DIN adapter) keyboard for method 2.

Spread Spectrum

Leave this field in its default setting. Do not alter this setting unless advised by an engineer or technician.

3.1.9 Load Fail-Safe Defaults

The “Load Fail-Safe Defaults” option loads the troubleshooting default values permanently stored in the ROM chips. These settings are not optimal and turn off all high performance features. You should use these values only if you have hardware problems. Highlight this option in the main menu and press <Enter>. The message below will appear.

Load Fail-Safe Defaults (Y/N)? N

If you want to proceed, type <Y> and press <Enter>. The default settings will be loaded.
