V-LINK makes it easy to control the basic functions of the V-4. Even if you are using a device that does not support V-LINK, you can make transmission and reception settings so that the V-4 can be controlled from a musical instrument or other external device. For details on the functionality that can be controlled via MIDI from an external device, refer to p. 89 of this manual, and to the MIDI implementation of the device you have connected.
