Initialization

The SQ-2000is initialized (i.e., set to a fixed set of conditions) in the following cases:

When you turn the power switch on.

(When you use a parallel interface) If the INIT signal is re- ceived from the host computer, causing pin 31 of the parallel interface to become LOW.

When you give the <ESC>@ software command.

The initialization sequence proceeds as follows (except when using the software command):

1.All interface signals are reset.

2.The input buffer is cleared.

3.The ON LINE indicator goes on and the SQ-2000 waits to receive data.

4.Printer parameters are initialized to the default settings.

5.The default values of the DIP switches are set.

The <ESC> @ sequence only performs the last two opera- tions. The DIP switch values are set to the current values even if the power has not been switched off.
