c) Lift t he seat and locate the pump contr ol spr ings. To increase
responsiveness, increase spring tension by hooking the r ear spr ing anchor
directly to the anchor bolt. To decr ease r esponsiveness, hook the rear
spring anchor t o t he anchor tab.
NOTE: Be sure both springs maintain t he sam e adjustment.

5.2.12 PTO Dr ive Pulley Alignm ent :
PTO dr ive pulley alignment is necessary for any of t he following conditions:
The blower has been removed or replaced.
The engine mounting bolt s have been loosened or t he engine has been
moved or replaced.
The jackshaft m ounting bolts have been loosened or the jackshaft has
been moved or replaced.
a) Stop eng ine, wait for all moving par ts to stop, and r em ove k ey.
b) Move the speed control lever to the neut r al position.
c) Disengage the PTO lever.
d) Verif y that the blower is installed and secured tight ly.
e) Loosen the 4 eng ine m ount ing bolts.
f) Unhook the pum p belt tension spring.
g) Loosen the 4 jackshaft mounting bolts
h) Remove fuel tank mount ing nuts and swing out fuel tank.
i) Measuring fr om the blower pulley as a baseline, move the engine and
jackshaft unt il the rear surface of all 3 pulleys are aligned within 1/32”-1/16”
(0.8 - 1.6 mm). Use a st raight edge to align all 3 sur faces. See Figure 19.
