If the right edge of the roll media is near the guide line (holes), put the hold lever down. At this time, check and bear in mind where the edge of the roll media is in relation to the guide line. Close the cover. The head will move automatically to detect the size of the media.

During media detection, the roll media will return parallel to the guide line. Check again the position of the right edge of the roll media after media detec- tion. If it is almost over the same line as the position of the edge of the media that was checked before the cover was closed, then the media setting is a success.

If the position of the edge of the media after media detection is offset from the position of the edge of the media before closing the cover, then repeat the loading of the media from step 8.

NOTE Removing roll media

Step 1

After printing has finished, open the cover, put the hold lever up and re-roll the roll media.

Step 2

Go to the back of the printer and press the scroller lock lever as you lift up the right side of the scroller, then slide the scroller to the right and take it out.

Remove while pressing the scroller lock lever.
