When unplugging the power cord, do not pull on the cord itself but pull on the plug.

The total ampere ratings of the equipment plugged in should not exceed the ampere rating of the cord if you are using an extension cord. Also, the total current rating of all equipment plugged into a single wall outlet should not exceed the fuse rating.

Make sure the voltage of the power source when connect your notebook computer to the power outlet. If your are unsure of your local power specifications, consult your dealer or local power company.

Taking Care of Your Battery Pack

Here are some ways to take care of your battery pack:

Use only batteries of the same kind as replacements. Turn the power off before removing or replacing batteries.

Do not tamper with batteries. Keep them away from children.

Handle batteries carefully. Do not try to disassemble, crush, puncture, open, drop, mutilate, short external contacts, disposed of in water or fire, or expose it to temperatures higher than 60 C.

Recharge batteries only as described in this manual and only in ventilated areas. Never use an external charger other than the one supplied with your notebook computer.

Do not leave batteries in hot locations for more than a day or two.

Do not leave your battery in your notebook computer for longer than 1 month without plugging in the power adapter.

Do not leave battery in storage for more than 2 months without recharging it to prevent over discharge. Over discharge will hurt the battery either.

Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations. Recycle if at all possible.
