Makesure vehicle is on level ground
so that the levelindicator, which is
attachedto the infantrestraint, can
be used to properlyrecline the infant
restraint.
If a frontpassenger seat is used (see air
bagwar ning, page 8), slide the vehicle
seatrearward as far as possible from the
dashboard.If a rear seat is used, make
surethe seat in frontof it is moved for-
wardenough and is upright enough to
allowroom for the infant restraint.
1. Placethe infant restraint without base in a rear-facing
positionin a vehicle seat.
2. Threadthe vehiclebelt under both vehicle belt hooks:
