272A:You r PCS Phone – The Basics
AnsweringCalls1. Make sure your phone is on. If your phone is off, incoming calls go to
voicemail.
2. When a call comes in, answer the call by pressing T. Depending
on your settings, your PCSPhone notifies you of incoming calls in the
following ways:
䊳The phone rings and/or vibrates.
䊳The LED flashes.
䊳The backlight illuminates.
䊳The screen displays an incoming call message and animation.
䊳If available, the phone number of the caller is displayed.
䊳If the phone number is in your Internal Phone Book, the Phone Book
entry’s name is displayed.
You can perform the following when you have an incoming call.
䊳Press T to answer incoming calls.
䊳Press E to put the caller on hold.
䊳Move the cursor key upward or downward to change the ringer volume.
䊳Press E twice very quickly to cancel the call.
Depending on your settings, you may also answer incoming calls by
pressing any digit. (To answer a call when you are roaming and Call
Guard is enabled, you must press to answer the call. See
“Controlling Roaming Charges Using Call Guard” on page 59.)
Note:If your phone is off, incomingcalls go to voicemail.
3. To disconnect the call, press E.
