When the machine is turned on, it must complete an initialization sequence before it will be ready to make copies. If you open the lid during the initial- ization, the message Close lid will appear. You will not be able to use the copier until you close the lid and allow the initialization to finish.
Push down the left side of the switch to turn on the HP Color Copier.
If a new print cartridge was installed while the copier was off, the copier automatically aligns the print cartridges .This procedure takes about 60 seconds. The alignment procedure prints a page, so paper needs to
be loaded in the copier when it is turned on. Discard the page.
■If the message Unlock scanner. Move green scanner lock on left side under lid to unlocked position, and turn power off then on. appears, return to Step 3 to for instructions on unlocking the scanner.
■If the message Remove and check xxxx cartridge. appears (where xxxx is a color), verify that the print cartridges are snapped all the way back in their stalls. Return to Step 4 for instructions.
