Software Updates and Restorations

5.To confirm the information or your preferences, press F10.

6.To save your preferences and exit the Setup utility.

a.Press esc (or select Exit from the menu bar).

b.Select Exit Saving Changes.

c.Then follow the instructions on the screen.

Your preferences are set as you exit Setup and are in effect when the notebook restarts.

Downloading and Installing Software Updates

Most software at the HP Web site is packaged in a compressed file called a SoftPaq. Some ROM updates may be packaged in a compressed file called a RomPaq. Other ROM updates may be provided as a CPQFlash SoftPaq.

Most download packages contain a file named Readme.txt. A Readme.txt file contains detailed descriptive, installation, and troubleshooting information about the download. The Readme.txt files included with RomPaqs are English only.

■A SoftPaq containing an update other than a ROM update
