Using Channels

A channel (or mobile channel) is a Web site or other Web- formatted content that is available for offline viewing on your P/PC. Channels allows Internet, intranet, or other Web- formatted content to be automatically downloaded to your P/PC from your desktop computer via synchronization. For more information on synchronizing channels, see ActiveSync Help on the desktop computer and see the Synchronizing data section in chapter 6.

Content can be updated on a regular basis, such as updates from a news channel, or on a one-time basis, such as movie listings from an entertainment channel.

Channels and automatic updates to them are managed on the desktop computer by Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher. Use Internet Explorer on your desktop computer to view channels offline.
