Perform preventive maintenance

To ensure optimum performance from the product, replace certain parts when the Replace Maintenance Kit message appears on the control-panel display.

The kit includes the following items:

●Fuser

●Transfer roller

●Plastic tool for removing the old transfer roller

●Pair of gloves for handling the new transfer roller

●Eight feed rollers and four pickup rollers

●Installation instructions

NOTE: The maintenance kit is a consumable item and is not covered under the original product warranty or under most extended warranties. Installing the maintenance kit is the customer's responsibility.

After a maintenance kit is installed, the maintenance-kit counter must be reset.

Reset the maintenance-kit counter

NOTE: Perform this procedure only after a maintenance kit has been installed. Do not use this procedure to temporarily clear the Replace Maintenance Kit message.

1.At the product control panel, press the Home button.

2.Open the following menus:

●Administration

●Manage Supplies

●Reset Supplies

●New Maintenance Kit

3.Select the Yes option to reset the maintenance-kit counter.
