What is the Image Utility?

System Requirements

The Image Utility enables you to perform the following operations on TIFF, JPEG, Encapsulated PostScript (EPS), PostScript (PS), and Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF) files:

•Download supported file types directly to the print server

•Save the file to a PostScript language file, for subsequent transfer to the print server (not applicable to PS files)

•Optionally apply cropping, tiling, and scaling transformations to the file before sending to the print server (not supported for PS and PDF file types)

The Image Utility runs under Macintosh OS X 10.2 (“Jaguar”) and later. For downloading and save-to-PostScript functionality under earlier versions of Macintosh OS, use the Downloader Utility (see Chapter 3).
