Figure 37 Legacy Style of Packaging

Figure 38 illustrates an example in which all the disk group and mount point packages used by Application 1 are consolidated into a single modular package as compared to four separate packages in the legacy style of packaging.

Use Case 2: Migration of two different applications using checkpoint and snapshot packages

Figure 39 illustrates a cluster with two applications independent of each other. The disk group cvm_dg1 is configured in the package SG-CFS-DG-1, the mount point /mnt1 is configured on cvm_dg1/lvol1 in the package SG-CFS-MP-1 and is used by Application1. Similarly, the disk group cvm_dg2 is configured in the package SG-CFS-DG-2, the mount point /mnt2 is configured on cvm_dg2/lvol2 in the package SG-CFS-MP-2 and is used by Application2. The check point /ckpt1 and snapshot /snap1 of mount point /mnt2 are configured in packages SG-CFS-CK-1 and SG-CFS-SN-1 respectively. The disk group cvm_dg3 used by the snapshot /snap1 is configured in the package SG-CFS-DG-3.
