6.7.2 SMS Graphical Main Menu

The graphical System Management Services main menu offers the following

tasks, as shown in Figure 36:

Config Enables you to view your system setup

Multiboot Enables you to set and view the default operating system,

modify the boot sequence, access the Open Firmware

command prompt, and other options

Utilities Provides several tools to set and remove passwords, to set the

unattended start mode, to update the firmware, to set the IP

addresses for network booting, and other utilities

When AIX is installed on a machine, it automatically sets the customized

boot list to the installed hard disk. The customized boot list is thereafter

used by the system when booting in Normal mode.
