12.4Repositioning the Front Caster Housings

For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 5 on page 86.

1.Remove the top mounting screw, belleville washer and round adjustment nut and base that secures the caster housing to the front frame.

2.Remove the bottom mounting screw, belleville washer and square adjustment nut that secures the caster housing to the front frame.

Mounting positions for caster housing on the front frame include one mounting screw on the top and one mounting screw on the bottom. The top and bottom mounting screws are ALWAYS aligned vertically and NEVER offset as shown in Detail “A” in FIGURE 5 on page 86.

3.Reposition the caster housing to one of three mounting positions on the front frame.

4.Install the top mounting screw and washer through the front frame and into round adjustment nut and base. Loosely tighten.

5.Install the bottom mounting screw and washer through the front frame and into the square adjustment nut. Loosely tighten.

6.Ensure the caster headtube is perpendicular (90°) to the ground/floor. Refer to Caster Housing Angle Adjustment on page 86.
