LCD Monitor/Viewfinder Indications During Playback

1	Displays the sound mode.		(☞ pg. 43)
2	Displays the recording mode.
3	Appears while a tape is running.
	4	: Playback
	3	: Fast-Forward/Shuttle search
	2	: Rewind/Shuttle search
	6	: Pause
	64	: Forward slow-motion
	16	: Reverse slow-motion

5	Displays the brightness of the LCD
	monitor or the speaker volume.

Warning Indications

Indications		Function
	Displays the battery remaining power.
	Remaining power level: high
	Remaining power level: exhausted
	As the battery power comes close to nil, the battery indicator		blinks. When the
	battery power is exhausted, power turns off automatically.
	Appears when no tape is loaded, or when the erase protection tab is set to
	“SAVE”.		(☞ pg. 12)
	Appears if dirt is detected on the heads during recording.		(☞ pg. 70)
	Appears if condensation occurs. When this indication is displayed, the camcorder
	turns off automatically.
	Appears for approx. 10 seconds after power is turned on. Also blinks when the
	clock (lithium) battery is either not installed or has discharged. Install or replace
	the old battery with a new one.		(☞ pg. 10)
LENS COVER	Blinks for approx. 5 seconds when power is turned on with the lens cover closed.

TAPE!	Appears for 10 seconds after power is turned on if there is no tape loaded.
TAPE END	Appears when the tape ends during recording or playback.		(☞ pg. 17)
SET DATE/TIME!	● Appears when the date/time is not set.		(☞ pg. 11)
	● Appears when the clock (lithium) battery is discharged and the previously set
	date/time is erased.		(☞ pg. 11)
	The error indications (E01 — E06) show what type of malfunction has occured.
E01 — E06	When an error indication appears, the camcorder turns off automatically. Remove
	the power supply (battery, etc.), clock battery and wait a few minutes for the
	indication to clear. When it does, you can resume using the camcorder. If the
	indication remains, consult your nearest JVC dealer.		(☞ pg. 62)
